Emissions, electricity and weather are all inter-related and may substantially impact a company’s business. Natsource Japan provides customers with strategic solutions for risk management by integrating its expertise in each of these areas. From its first operating year, Natsource Japan has secured several contracts for advisory services. One example is Japan Emissions Management Simulation (JEMS), a joint effort with Mitsubishi Research Institute, which was conducted successfully in 2001. The program had more than 30 participants from both public and private sectors and its result was presented at Marrakech, Morocco during COP7, a world-wide conference to fight global warming held in November 2001.
The advisory unit also supports investors developing any project that reduces greenhouse gas emissions both domestic and abroad. The scope of the service covers project identification to sales of credits generated by the project operation.
