The Japanese electricity market is at its dawn in terms of deregulation. There still remains regulatory hurdles to be cleared and further deregulation is needed before the market will see any substantial liquidity. Natsource Japan, however,  is actively marketing potential buyers and sellers, to well  positioned when the market begins to trade. We received several offers and bids in 2001 and believe the first transaction will be closed in 2002.
