Tim Atkinson, Analyst (London), specializes in greenhouse gas emissions markets and green certificate markets.  He focuses primarily on UK Emissions Trading market transactions, which he manages on a daily basis, and EU Emissions Trading Scheme transactions.  Mr. Atkinson also works closely with international project developers to guide them through the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) process, providing guidance on project design documents (PDDs) and appropriate transaction structures.  Mr. Atkinson has also been involved in many consulting projects, including work for the European Commission, the Government of Japan, the Asian Development Bank, the United Kingdom and many private sector clients.  Mr. Atkinson is a member of the Emissions Trading Group, which is the joint industry-government working group conducting consultation on the UK and EU emissions trading schemes. 

Prior to joining Natsource, Mr. Atkinson worked for the Aluminium Federation Ltd and participated in the negotiations of their Climate Change Agreements with the UK Government.  Mr. Atkinson has a Masters of Engineering in Materials Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
