Phone: +1-212-232-5305Michael Intrator, Principal and Managing Director (New York), has managed Natsource’s global transaction services business for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, conventional air pollutants and renewable energy certificates (RECs), which has arranged transactions valued in excess of $7.5 billion. Mr. Intrator played a major role in the development of Natsource Asset Management’s Greenhouse Gas Credit Aggregation Pool (GG-CAP). The pool will provide Buyers with high quality, risk managed emission reductions which can be used for compliance with GHG emissions limitations. He joined Natsource in the summer of 1998, specializing in arranging transactions of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) allowances. Prior to his employment at Natsource, he was an analyst at Salomon Inc., responsible for managing the company’s environmental compliance program, analyzing the financial impact of environmental regulations on regulated industries, and providing research support.
Mr. Intrator was named to Natsource’s Management Committee as well as to its Board of Directors in 2004. He has also served on the board of the Emissions Marketing Association. Mr. Intrator completed his undergraduate degree at Columbia University and received an MA in Public Administration from Columbia’s Graduate School of International and Public Affairs, where he focused on environmental policy and public finance.
