Phone: +1-403-215-5587Paul Vickers, Managing Director of Natsource Asset Management (Calgary), serves as Manager of the Greenhouse Gas Credit Aggregation Pool (GG-CAP). GG-CAP will purchase and manage a large pool of greenhouse gas emission reductions that Buyers can use to comply with emissions limitations. He is an expert in integrating emissions management into corporate strategic and risk management plans; in originating, developing, and managing ER assets; and in assessing the links between emissions management and shareholder value. At Natsource, he has supported clients in developing solutions for their corporate exposure to tightening air emission regulations; in developing and managing portfolios of carbon offsets; and in originating deal flow for renewable energy and carbon offset assets. He was previously Director of the Carbon Market Initiative at TransAlta Corporation. Mr. Vickers built TransAlta’s SO2 and NOx trading business and was also responsible for the creation and ongoing management of TransAlta’s world-leading carbon offset and carbon trading business. Prior to his employment at TransAlta he spent twenty years with Shell Canada’s Downstream Oil and Chemicals Businesses. His assignments included manufacturing, engineering, research, business development, and marketing. Mr. Vickers was previously on the Board of Directors of the Clean Air Corporation Inc., and has served on the Board of Directors of the Emissions Marketing Association. He was also a Member of the Environmental Responsibility and Commitment Program Steering Committee of the Canadian Electricity Association. Mr. Vickers has a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
