Visit Natsource at CarbonExpo, Booth E-2

9 May 2005 — Natsource invites you to visit us at the Carbon Expo, May 11-13th, in Hall 14.1, Booth Number E-2. Representatives from Natsource’s three business units (1) asset management services; (2) advisory and research services; and (3) transaction services, look forward to the opportunity to meet with you.

  • Asset Management Services- Natsource Asset Management has launched the Greenhouse Gas Credit Aggregation Pool – the world’s first private sector led mechanism to help you comply with greenhouse gas emission requirements cost-effectively. To date, nine companies have committed around €82 million to the GG-CAP. We have also recently announced a series of managed accounts that will take advantage of investment opportunities arising in environmental markets around the world. They are designed to stimulate the development of greenhouse gas reduction and renewable energy projects and to provide superior rates of return to investors.
  • Advisory and Research Services- Our team of experts assisted in the design of early trading systems and in the negotiations of rules to govern the project-based mechanisms incorporated in the Kyoto Protocol. They’re here to help you develop and implement strategies to participate in emissions and renewable energy markets.
  • Transaction Services- Located around the world, Natsource’s team of transaction services experts have helped to arrange and structure transactions valued in excess of US$7.5 billion (€5.75 billion). These include arranging transactions for greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions under the Kyoto Protocol, GHG allowances (UK and EU Allowances), renewable energy assets and credits and allowances of sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.

Natsource will also be leading and participating in several events during the three day Carbon Expo. These include:

  • “State of the Market,” Wednesday, May 11, 2:30-4:30 pm.  In coordination with the World Bank, Natsource is pleased to announce the results of the World Bank’s Fifth Annual “State and Trends of the Carbon Market.” Natsource is the only firm that participated in all five of the World Bank’s carbon market studies.
  • “Corporate Strategies for Compliance and Risk Mitigation,” Thursday, May 12, 9-10:15am,. Dirk Forrister, Managing Director, will chair this session which will present insights from market leaders about their experiences in developing risk management and compliance strategies for EU ETS and Kyoto requirements.
