Story
NATSOURCE, Inc. was formed in September, 1994 as a broker
of natural gas physical and derivative transactions.
Although a relatively new firm, the principals had worked
in the industry for the previous 15 years. The market
recognized the quality of the organization immediately,
ranking Natsource the number one gas broker in both 1994
and 1995 Risk MagazineSurveys.
In 1995,
NATSOURCE
increased its market presence by
adding groups of brokers for the Emissions Allowances
market and Electricity market.
NATSOURCE
is an over-the-counter broker of
energy products, concentrating on swaps, options and
physical delivery. Terms of deals arranged are from
overnight transactions through 15-year trades. NATSOURCE acts
as agent, not as principal.
NATSOURCE'S customer base consists of large institutions
that trade energy. This base is made up of commercial
banks, investment banks, pipelines, utilities, energy
marketers, commodity trading houses, and producers and
consumers of energy. We have over 200 corporate customers
that are active in this market. This number is expanding
dramatically as the electric utility industry becomes
deregulated.

in-depth knowledge of the financial markets. We're made

Role of the
Broker
NATSOURCE acts as an agent to bring the buyer and seller
together. Because we do not act as principal, NATSOURCE
works to get the best market pricing available. The name
of the buyer and seller are not revealed to each other
until all other terms are agreed upon, thereby protecting
the anonymity of the buyers and sellers in the
marketplace. All transaction terms and conditions are
kept confidential.
